Recreational fishing is not permitted within marine nature reserves (such as at Hamelin Pool) or within marine park sanctuary zones.

Fishers need to be aware of both the location of all marine reserve zones and the rules which apply within them.  Becoming familiar with the fishing rules and restrictions is important when planning a visit to a location with MPAs.
