Aquaculture reporting

Aquaculture licence holders are required to conduct reporting in accordance with Regulation 64 of the Fish Resources Management Regulations 1995. 

Aquaculture reporting for licence and exemption holders is lodged online through the iApply portal.

The following are available for online submission through the iApply system: 

  • annual production returns 
  • broodstock collection reports 
  • Management and Enviornmental Monitoring Plan (MEMP) and exemption reporting
  • regular mortality reports.

Mandatory reporting

Annual production returns 

Aquaculture licence holders are required to submit annual production returns in accordance with Regulation 64 of the Fish Resources Management Regulations 1995. 

Broodstock collection  

Where broodstock is collected under a broodstock collection exemption, aquaculture licence holders must submit collection data in accordance with the conditions of the exemption.

MEMP and exemption reporting 

Aquaculture licence holders must submit an annual report of management and monitoring activities conducted under the MEMP in accordance with the conditions of the licence  

Aquaculture exemption holders must submit research and development exemption reports and images of coral and algae as required, in accordance with the conditions of the exemption.

Non-mandatory reporting

Regular mortality reporting 

Aquaculture licence holders may wish to report data on regular mortalities at aquaculture operations for the purpose of identifying trends. Reporting mortality returns is voluntary.
