The Building Better Aboriginal Businesses (BBAB) grant Goldfields Round aimed to assist in building corporate governance and business management capacity within Aboriginal corporations in regional and remote locations in Western Australia (WA) to grow an opportunities pipeline aligned to regional business development opportunities.

Overview
BBAB Goldfields grant funding was designed to:
- Support businesses as they undertake training in corporate governance and strategy development
- Position businesses to pursue new opportunities in the Goldfields
- Increase businesses’ earning and employment capacity
- Help business owners and operators effectively implement their business action plans, build business confidence, and identify opportunities to diversify and expand.
Successful applicants received specialist support suited to the needs of their business.

Eligibility
Applicants needed to meet all of the following requirements:
- Be a solvent Aboriginal business or board
- Have a valid Australian Business Number (ABN) or Australian Company Number (ACN)
- Be an entity that is undertaking a commercial or business activity
- Have operating facilities located in regional or remote WA
- Have operating facilities that will remain in regional or remote WA for the next 12 months
- Have been operating for a minimum of 6 months.
