Noongar Regional Corporations Economic Foundations Grants

These grants will support the 6 Noongar Regional Corporations to undertake economic and business development planning and corporate governance training, empowering them to take advantage of economic opportunities in their regions.

The Noongar Regional Corporations Economic Foundations Grants delivered by the department's Aboriginal Economic Development Unit have been launched. These grants will support the 6 Noongar Regional Corporations as identified by the South West Native Title Settlement Indigenous Land Use Agreements, to undertake economic and business development planning and corporate governance training, empowering them to take advantage of economic opportunities in their regions.

These grants are delivered through Stream 1 of the Aboriginal Governance and Leadership Development Program (AGLDP) called Building Better Aboriginal Business (BBAB). More information about the AGLDP is available on the Aboriginal Economic Development page.

What is available?

$360,000 in funding will be shared amongst 6 Noongar Regional Corporations.

This is a closed round, only available to the 6 eligible Noongar Regional Councils

Overview

We will distribute $360,000 to the following Noongar Regional Corporations in the South West Native Title Settlement:

  • Ballardong Regional Corporation
  • Gnaala Karla Booja Regional Corporation
  • Karri Karrak Regional Corporation
  • Wagyl Kaip Regional Corporation
  • Whadjuk Regional Corporation
  • Yued Regional Corporation.

Eligibility

This grant is only available for the 6 eligible Noongar Regional Councils.
