North Coast bioregion

Seasonal, year-round and area fishing closures are implemented throughout the North Coast bioregion to protect vulnerable fish stocks and allow time for them to recover or spawn.

North Coast bioregion

The North Coast bioregion in Western Australia (WA) runs from the Ashburton River (21° 46’ S and 114° 50’ E) south of Onslow to the border of WA and the Northern Territory.

Make sure you are familiar with all the rules that apply in the North Coast bioregion before you make your trip. If you are unsure about the rules or need further advice, contact a department office near you.
