Canola seeding rate calculator

Use the canola seeding rate calculator to easily calculate the seeding rate needed for good crop establishment, as this will set the crop up for its potential yield.

How to use the calculator

To calculate seeding rate, type the requested information into the online seeding rate calculator, including your target density (plants/m2), estimated field establishment percentage, and the seed size (seeds/kg) and germination percentages. Click ‘Calculate seed rate’. 

Seed size (seeds/kg) is available for all purchased canola seed, either on the bag or available from the seed supplier.
