BlacklegCM accounts for the major factors that influence blackleg crown canker severity. The user can specify factors relating to paddock selection, seasonal conditions, prices, and management options so the output relates to their cropping circumstance. The user can also explore their options for disease control and understand the relative importance of each factor.

BlacklegCM helps you to manage blackleg crown canker disease in canola crops in Australia. It can be tuned to account for some of the major factors that relate to risk of yield loss due to blackleg disease in your paddocks during seeding and the early vegetative phase of the crop.

It allows you to compare the likely profitability of different disease management strategies, including paddock selection, variety choice, seed dressing, banded fungicide, and foliar fungicide.

BlacklegCM takes account of costs, yield benefits, grain price, and seasonal conditions to give you the best case, worst case, and most likely estimates of financial return.

BlacklegCM does not account for all factors that can affect blackleg disease, and information provided by this tool is not tailored to the circumstances of any individual farm.

BlacklegCM was designed to complement the UCI BlacklegCM management app, which aids in disease management decisions for blackleg upper canopy infection.
